Refund Policy

Last updated: 2026-08-09

The short version. Digital files cannot be un-downloaded, so sales are final once the files are delivered. But if something is wrong — a broken file, a double charge, the wrong beat — write to me and I fix it. That has never been a fight and it never will be.

1. Why digital sales are final

The moment your download link is generated, you have the product in full. There is no way to take it back, no way to verify it has been deleted, and nothing to return. That is why the whole industry (BeatStars, Airbit, Splice, every plugin maker) treats digital audio as non-refundable, and so do I.

You get everything you need to decide before you pay: a full-length preview you can play as many times as you want, the BPM, the key, the complete licence contract shown in the cart, and a free sample pack you can download to hear the quality of the work.

2. When I refund, no questions asked

These are not exceptions I grudgingly allow. They are what I owe you:

  • You were charged twice for the same thing.
  • The file is corrupt, incomplete, or will not open, and re-sending it does not fix it.
  • You received the wrong product, and you do not want the right one instead.
  • The pack is missing what the page promised: the MIDI files, the stems, the number of samples listed.
  • You never received your files and, after writing to me, I could not deliver them.

Write to contacto@laruny.com with your PayPal transaction number and what went wrong. Refunds go back to the same PayPal account and take 5 to 10 business days to appear, which is PayPal's timing, not mine.

3. When I do not refund

  • You changed your mind, or the beat did not fit the song after all.
  • You bought the wrong licence tier. I do not refund it, but I will upgrade you and you only pay the difference, at any time, for as long as the beat exists.
  • You did not read the licence and it turned out to be more limited than you assumed. The full contract is on screen in the cart, before the pay button. Read it, and if anything in it is unclear, ask me before you pay, not after.
  • Somebody else bought the same non-exclusive beat. That is what non-exclusive means, and it is stated on every product page.
  • Your song was taken down, demonetised or hit with a claim because you broke the licence — for example by registering the beat in Content ID.
  • You already downloaded the files and simply want the money back.

4. Exclusive rights

An exclusive purchase pulls the beat off the market permanently, which costs me every future sale of it. Exclusive sales are final and non-refundable without exception, and are agreed in a signed contract before payment. Nothing about an exclusive happens by accident.

5. The free pack

It is free. There is nothing to refund. If it does not download, write to me and I will send it directly.

6. Chargebacks

Please write to me before opening a PayPal dispute. A dispute freezes the money for weeks and cannot be resolved faster by anyone, whereas an email usually settles it the same day.

A chargeback opened on a delivered product terminates the licence for that product — the licence is paid for or it does not exist. If it was an honest mistake, tell me and we sort it out.

7. Your rights under the law

If the law where you live gives you a stronger right than this policy — for example a statutory withdrawal period for distance purchases, that law wins, and this policy does not take it away from you. In Colombia, please note that the right of retracto (Ley 1480 de 2011) is generally understood not to apply to digital content that has already been downloaded, precisely because it is consumed on delivery. If you believe your case is different, write to me and I will look at it properly rather than hide behind a paragraph.
